![]() I was planning on making videos of people I meet and upload them on my website. In a 2 minute video the person would introduce him/herself and would share the story that changed his/her life or had an impact on lives of others. Over the last few weeks I met many people, each very different from one another with different personalities and different approaches to life. The stories they shared with me were very personal and I can’t share them here because when i do they will become less significant and I do not want that. Each person I met is different and that is great! We are all unique - or as my friend put it once - we are all the same because we are all unique. Each person has got a different understanding of life and what it should be. I was allowed into the lives of people I travelled with. I obtained different insights. Each person touches you in a certain way and helps you become who you aspire to be and want to be. It is important to know that neither one of us is in position to judge anyone. It is easy to judge and difficult to understand. We don't know what shaped a particular person and what the person has been through in his/her life and what demons the person is fighting. Listening is the key to understanding. I arrived in Capaddocia today. I am staying in a cave tonight - yes an actual cave. There are no windows and its fucking cold there during the day. During the night they turn on the special heating system to keep us warm :-) I have never seen a place like Capaddocia before. Makes me feel like I am in the smurf city. People literally live in caves here and these caves look like giant mushrooms. The whole city is special. I am planning on getting up early in the morning tomorrow and climbing one of the big shrooms to see the sun rise. I will then rent a scooter and drive around the open air museum. I am planning a turkish bath in the afternoon before I am off to Kayseri to meet my host. I spent the last two days in Izmir - the most modern city in the whole country. And I liked it a lot. It was a great experience thanks to my lovely host. She made me feel like home. I rarely meet such warm and helpful people like her. We spent the whole day walking around the city. She is a great cook too. Remember to say thanks to your mom from me for all the things she made that we ate :-) Happy birthday again btw I lost track of time. I just realised it is sunday today. I am trying not to think that my trip will be over in one week. I will then have to wait another 2.5 months for my next adventure in Africa. There is so many places to see and discover. But as i said it is not the places that you see but the people you see these places with. I have met amazing people so far and they made me enjoy my trip. I am thinking where i should go in August after being back from Africa. I am thinking Myanmar, Thailand, Nepal and a bit more of South East Asia. But i don't like to plan. I don't know where I'm gonna sleep in 2 days… so planning a trip in 3 months is an impossible task for now haha Cheerios |
